FindInstruments.com is proud to carry the full product line of Mid-East Manufacturing's product offerings.  Below is an excerpt from their website describing the manufacturer.

Operations

Mid-East Mfg is a small family owned and operated company. The health and safety of our employees is paramount. This is evident in the products we sell, the manufacturing processes we employ, and our working environment.

We are very particular from whom we import products. Our exclusive supplier in Pakistan is our sister company, Mid-East Mfg, Sialkot, Pakistan. They, like us, are a small family owned and operated business with which we have had a very close relationship since the early 1980's. Our two suppliers in India are Bhargava & Co. and Pratap Music House. Both are established, well respected businesses which we have dealt with for many years.

Products from Pakistan and India are shipped in large containers, usually 40 feet in length. All products are examined prior to packing and loading. Once loaded in the container, the container is sealed until it reaches our doors. Pakistani, Indian and United States customs routinely inspect our containers to make sure the contents match the bill of lading. They also check for contraband (i.e. drugs and food products that may contain parasites or disease). We have never experienced any problems in more than 20 years. All products are thoroughly inspected in our warehouse in Florida prior to shipping to our customers.

We do not use any raw or untreated materials. All natural skins, (i.e. drum heads), are processed, which removes any potential problems. The colors of our ceramic doumbeks are limited due to the materials required to make certain colors. We do not use dangerous elements in our glazes. That is why we do not make red or yellow glazes.

The above standards and procedures have been in place for many years. We constantly review them to ensure the health and safety of our suppliers, employees, and customers.

History

Mid-East Mfg., Inc. is one of the largest suppliers of ethnic musical instruments because we offer quality products with excellent service at exceptional prices.

Mid-East has been family owned and operated since 1973.    At that time Steve, Alice, and their four sons lived in Ohio.    The inception of Mid-East occurred because of Alice.    Belly dancing was the rage in the 70's and Alice was a teacher. One of Alice's tasks as a teacher was to find the most reasonably priced materials for her students. Enter Steve!    At that time Steve worked as a stockbroker.    He dealt with financial numbers all day.    When Steve found out what the zills (finger cymbals) were costing he said "I could make them better and for less."    And he did.    After supplying Alice's students, they began to manufacture and supply zills to a number of dance studios.    It wasn't long before their living room was turned into a makeshift factory.    All four boys helped to count, clean, and bag zills.    Within a few years Steve quit his job.    The family was in business.    Customers began to show interest in a number of other instruments, and as they did, Mid-East began to manufacture and import harps, bagpipes, drums, sitars, etc.

Today the company is housed in an 18,000 square foot warehouse in West Melbourne, Florida.    Musicians, worldwide, play our instruments.    Mid-East is committed to developing new items to meet our customers' needs.    For our customers who are looking for that special décor piece, we are making select items more esthetically pleasing.    Mid-East now carries over 500 items.    Don't be surprised if you have difficulty selecting that one special piece.    If you have questions, our knowledgeable staff is dedicated to providing friendly and helpful service.    We want our customers to know that our well-crafted instruments are an exceptional value.    If you have always wanted to play an instrument, we also offer blemished and/or repaired items at drastically reduced prices to get you started.
